Ruqia Ismail did her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2003 and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2006. Ms. Ismail was enrolled as an Advocate of the Lower Courts in July 2007.

Prior to joining Azam & Rai on 1 June 2008, Ms. Ismail interned at Rizvi & Rizvi (Advocates, Solicitors & Corporate Consultants), Lahore and worked as an Associate at Walker Martineau Saleem (Advocates & Legal Consultants), Lahore and Hanif, Adnan & Faisal (Corporate Law Consultants), Lahore.

Ms. Ismail handles both contentious and non-contentious legal matters, including litigation at the Civil Courts, District Courts and Banking Courts as well as legal research. She also handles statutory compliance and due diligence issues for the Firm’s corporate clients with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and other regulatory authorities.
